DENTAL FILLINGS IN TURKEY / ANTALYA
Fillings help restore teeth damaged by decay back to their normal function, and can prevent further decay. Your dentist will consider a number of factors when choosing which type of filling material is best for you. These factors include the extent of the repair, where in your mouth the filling is needed and the cost.
Which Type of Filling is Best?
fillings-aesthetic-dentistNo one type of filling is best for everyone. What’s right for you will be determined by the extent of the repair, whether you have allergies to certain materials, where in your mouth the filling is needed, and the cost. Considerations for different materials include:

Gold fillings are made to order in a laboratory and then cemented into place. Gold inlays are well tolerated by gum tissues, and may last more than 20 years. For these reasons, many authorities consider gold the best filling material. However, it is often the most expensive choice and requires multiple visits.

Amalgam (silver) fillings are resistant to wear and relatively inexpensive. However, due to their dark color, they are more noticeable than porcelain or composite restorations and are not usually used in very visible areas, such as front teeth.
Composite (plastic) resins are matched to be the same color as your teeth and therefore used where a natural appearance is desired. The ingredients are mixed and placed directly into the cavity, where they harden. Composites may not be the ideal material for large fillings as they may chip or wear over time. They can also become stained from coffee, tea or tobacco, and do not last as long as other types of fillings generally from three to 10 years.
Porcelain fillings are called inlays or onlays and are produced to order in a lab and then bonded to the tooth. They can be matched to the color of the tooth and resist staining. A porcelain restoration generally covers most of the tooth. Their cost is similar to gold.

COMPOSITE FILLINGS
  • Made of: A mixture of plastic and fine glass particles.
  • Types: Direct and indirect. Direct fillings are placed by your dentist using a bright blue light that hardens the soft material. For indirect fillings, your dentist prepares the tooth and takes an impression of it. A laboratory or the dentist then will make the filling from the mold. During a second visit, your dentist cements this filling into place.
  • Used for: Small and large fillings, especially in front teeth or the visible parts of teeth; also for inlays
  • Lasts: At least five years
  • Costs: More than amalgam, but less than gold

Advantages
Your fillings or inlay will match the color of your teeth.
A filling can be completed in one dental visit. An inlay may require two visits.
Composite fillings can bond directly to the tooth. This makes the tooth stronger than it would be with an amalgam filling.
Less drilling is involved than with amalgam fillings. That’s because your dentist does not have to shape the space as much to hold the filling securely. The bonding process holds the composite resin in the tooth.
Indirect composite fillings and inlays are heat-cured. This step increases their strength.
Composite resin can be used in combination with other materials, such as glass ionomer, to provide the benefits of both materials.

AESTHETIC FILLINGS
Why are aesthetic filling implementations necessary?
Nowadays, the purpose of dental treatments is that they are satisfactory both visually and functionally. For this reason, the main goal is to make fillings suit the natural tooth structure as color and shape, fill the gaps so that they are not apparent and make the filled tooth indistinguishable from a natural tooth.

What is aesthetic filling?
Aesthetic filling is made of composite material. This shapeable material is hardened with halogen light and attached to the tooth chemically.
WHAT IS THE ZIRCONIUM CROWN?
Do you want to learn about Zirconium Crowns to discover if zirconium crowns are the right choice for you?
Zirconium also called Zirconia (Cercon) is rapidly becoming the material of choice for dental crowns. It is a very strong material able to withstand the wear and tear of every day use. Aesthetically, it is translucent very similar to a natural tooth, reflecting light in much the same way. This means that Zirconium, Zirconia has a very aesthetic effect, which may be important if your new crowns are to be at the front of your mouth and is particularly relevant in cases where the crowns will be seen beside natural teeth.

Metal free from our own Dental Laboratory
  • High translucency
  • No black margins
  • Extremely solid
  • Absolutely metal free
  • Excellent biocompatibility
These are the porcelains in which we attain a more aesthetic appearance thanks to the white colored alloy that is used instead of metal as infrastructure. Thus, prosthesis assumes an aesthetic appearance that is much closer to natural teeth. It reflects light and it doesn’t reflect a dark color line on the gingiva level since the infrastructure is made of white colored alloy. It is in complete harmony with human body and doesn’t cause allergy.
Since zirconium supported porcelains feature a high resistance of 900 megapascal, they can be comfortably used on the posterior molar teeth either. This is a state-of-the-art technology that is so aesthetic and elegant to permit light in addition to its strength.
The preparation of zirconium supported prosthesis is the same as the alternatives. The difference starts only at the laboratory phase. Such prostheses are produced by computer assisted devices featuring CAD CAM technology. The patient is scanned by means of optical readers with the measurements taken from the mouth and shaped by milling cutter systems without touch of hand. The data that is formed with the help of cameras is loaded on the computer and designs (CAD) are obtained and produced (CAM).
What exactly is Zirconium?
In the most simplest terms: Zirconium is obtained mainly from zircon mineral and it is a component that has a hardness similar to copper and is lighter than that of a steel.
Why choose Zirconia crowns ?
Zirconium/ zirconia is biocompatible, non allergic, non electrical conductive material with the unique specification of letting light pass through so that the crown appears to be a natural tooth. Zirconinum/zirconia also provides the extra comfort that it would not break or chip over a period of time as against a full porcelain crown to which this is occasionally known to happen.
Porcelain is the traditional material used for new crowns. Full porcelain however may chip or break. This is overcome by making the crowns from metal, in this case the metal being zirconia, then fusing porcelain to the outside.
The zirconia metal provides the strength whilst the porcelain provides the outward appearance on a normal tooth. Zirconium crowns allow light to pass through as with a normal tooth giving a natural look, unlike other metal cores which block the light. Some resources are also calling them as Non-Allergic Crowns and say Zirconia is”Biocompatible” because the body does not reject it. Unlike Amalgam Fillings and metal alloys, the human body accepts zirconium, zirconia as a natural material, so you would not need to worry about allergies or adverse reactions.
